Thanks guys ~ keep 'em coming.

I think I've fixed the TOC link issue for those who were having problems. Please let me know if the problem has persisted.

It's up again now. Was pretty irritated yesterday -- the first time in over a year that my server has let me down, and it would happen when I was trying to upload new stuff and encourage people to go look at it! Argh. Issues all fixed now though.

Done.

All ~

I've added probably half of the suggested terms folks have asked for, and will be adding the rest today. If you suggested a term, please go check the definition & see if I got it right or not? I'm the first to admit that I really-and-truly don't know everything, and could use a hand to make sure I don't lead folks astray.

Thanks again, everyone.

"Is BBL short for barrel? Why is that since there's only 1 b in barrel?"
'Cuz it was done thataways for many years (apparently the 1700s), and folks just accepted it. Invented by somebody with a stutter, I reckon.

You could post a definition of Mall Ninja. Not a term that's self-explanatory by any means, and it's one we use an awful lot.

Thank you so much. That detailed critique you sent is/was exactly the kind of feedback I need! I really appreciate your stepping up to the plate and taking the time to do that.

Anyone else want to do the same? The more, the merrier...

works well...

BUT... Adjustable Stock -- A stock is the wooden, polymer, or steel part of a long gun which is braced against the shooter's shoulder while shooting. An adjustable stock is one which can be easily lengthened or shortened to fit shooters of different sizes.

(bold emphasis MINE)

umm... handgun grips are sometimes called the "stocks" and my Garcia Bronco 410, and a few other long guns I have seen are ALUMINUM, so wooden, polymer, or metal..." would be better...

Edited to add... this is correct already when you look at "stock", but the
"adjustable stock" is the one with "steel" instead of "metal"...

By the way, EXCELLENT idea and wonderful execution, Pax... my GF, though she is learning, asked me for a site with definitions a month or so ago, so she could learn the "vocabulary" of shooting without having to constantly interrupt me or others in a conversation... she now has your definitions saved as a favorite and is currently reading it end to end, LOL

Thanks muchly and well done!
