Is it possible to remove the high gloss finish from a Safariland duty holster? I have a chance to pick one up for almost nothing, and it is for a pistol that I do not have a holster for. It would be used for field carry, and I would prefer it not to be a high gloss. Is there any "zip strip" or similar formula to pull it off? I prefer a more natural appearance and less of a patent leather appearance.

IMO: If Safariland put it on a duty holster?

I would bet it is as near to non-removable as any finish you can dream up!

I think any solvent or stripper that will touch it is likely to destroy the holster.

You might be able to dull it with sandpaper.
Or paint over it with Flat-Black automotive spray can.

But I doubt you can 'remove it' using conventional means.

I don't think there is any good solution for removing the glossy finish... at least nothing that will not completely destroy the holster. Since it is a synthetic material, try roughing it up with sandpaper or ScotchBrite pad and paint the darned thing any color you like. Camo?
