Is it fair to sue Bushmaster Firearms for making the rifle allegedly used in last year’s ‘DC Sniper’ shooting spree?
See Story
Yes 31%

No 64%:D

Not Sure 4%

I can't beleive there are 31% of the voters that think it is fair. I try not to over generlize but someone that would think it is fair to sue a manufacturer for making a gun that does it's job is an idiot!

31% of people are stupid!

"31% of people are stupid!"

I think the percentage is larger than that. You know, "Imagine how dumb the average person is... now consider that half the people are even dumber than that."

I think it's pathetic that we've only got ~70% of the vote... considering the article that spawned the poll was completely against the lawsuit.

DONE!

It really is a pathetic state of affairs that anyone should blame someone else for their own actions. Hope someone gets the message soon.:banghead:

The results are complete bull. When the poll started, it was being ambushed by an anti. I sat on the results and refreshed my browser a couple of times and saw the "yes" vote grow from 66% to 73% in a few minutes. I figured out that he must have done it by turning browser cookies off to allow multiple votes. Soon thereafter the numbers fixed themselves and fortunately didn't get ambushed again.

69-28.

The auto makers DID get sued last year--at least, Volkswagen did. A woman's husband was driving drunk, hit a steel utility pole at 35 mph, and was killed. She claimed the car should have been made "less deadly" and that was what killed him. Mind you, the car met the ever-more-onerous federal crash standards and rated high in the insurance companies' tests, but it was the car's fault that he died--NOT the fact that he got drunk and drove it smack into a pole.
Drunk Driver's Widow Suing Car Maker

Silhadi Alami of Briarcliff Manor died after his ’89 Jetta jumped a curb at about 35 mph and smashed into a steel utility pole as he exited the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers.
