I've currently got the hots for a 3" .357 magnum SP101, but thought I'd hit a few gun shows and look for a good used speed six or maybe a security six. I had a Security Six once, good gun. I traded it for another excellent gun, so ain't like I sold it I guess.

I'll have an eye out for deals on used Smiths, too. Mostly interested in K frame stuff. Now seems to be the time for buying S&W K frames. I have a fine M10 already. Like to get something in .357 and stainless. 4" is fine. The ultimate want is an SP101, though. Another Ruger is a GOOD thing.

This is how my mind works-

How applies to CCW for instance: One to carry, one for backup, one in the event one needs to be repaired/ taken as evidence, and one off-site.

I have stayed with same basic platforms all my life, never will master them, still learning.

Nothing wrong with collecting, preserving history,appreciating fine craftsmanship...or learning new platforms.

One builds upon a sturdy foundation first, erects sturdy framing...

Later on one can add accessories and personal touches.

One has to have the foundation built first in anything...
Mindset, attitude, training, firearms...

Well, I'm 17 and don't own any guns yet. (Don't haze/ban me, please!! )

But, I do want to get at least two handguns and a military style rifle before the next national election and the possibility of another "assult weapon" ban.
