Goex 'Express' - worth the difference?

Was just looking on line at various Black Powders...


Any of you tried the Goex 'Express'?


And, if so, does it seem worth the difference in price?

BP Brand?

I find it hard enough just to find BP, let alone worrying about the brand. I've only seen regular Goes and one German brand in the flesh. BP is not avaiable at all in my home county in Iowa, have to go to the next county.

"Mail Order" solves local availability troubles.


Used to be several places here well into the 1990s who carried it...not now though.

For years, Goex was the only game US maker and more or less cornered the US market. It was so much better than any imports, it had virtually no competition. When Swiss and Schutzen, etc. started importing their products into the US They lost market share to a better product.

Express is their response.

Essentially, Goex Express is an effort to cut into the premium powders marketed by Swiss. It burns cleaner because of better ingredients, and because of the better mix, it is a little hotter.

For what its worth, after all the smoke cleared. I like the plain ole 'GOEX' the best when used with Revolvers. I don't have any BP rifles to test, but, I'm lookin
