I'm looking at a defensive load for my new, to me at least, Glock 17 and really like the information I've seen for Remington's Golden Saber line. It's being used by the FBI and if it's good enough for HRT, it's good enough for me.
I do have one question about the loadings they offer, however. I'm using non- +P ammunition as it's a first-gen Glock and wonder if I should be using the 124 or 147-grain loadings. Is there an appreciable difference in penetration with the heavier bullet (mass) vs. the lighter bullet (acceleration)? The info I've seen on various websites is all well and good but it doesn't go into the level of depth I'm looking for here.
Anyone have any experience in this area that they could share with me?
