Good buy, or not? - Now with 300% more photos!

I have the opportunity to buy a Series 80 Colt Officer's Model, serial # FA27XXX. It comes with the original box, and two original magazines, only the manual is missing. It shows a lot of minor scuff marks to the Parkerized finish, and looking at the barrel's exterior surface, I can tell that it's had quite a bit of rounds through it. The rifling is still really bright and sharp. It certainly seems mechanically sound. It feeds from both magazines fine when cycled by hand.

Is $650 too much to pay?

Bump to show how she looks after a halfway thorough cleaning and oiling...

I would think that's a fair price. The officers model are a very nice gun and are getting harder to find. Great for CCW and very shootable.

I think that's quite a good price. Not a smokin', use-my-savings-before-it-gets-snatched-up deal. But it's not over-priced either. It's quite reasonable for a good quality Officers Model.

Well, for better or worse, she's mine. :D

My friend told me to take her home for $600, so dang if I didn't. Can't wait for range day!
