I haven't had time to hit up the gun shops here yet and have a Colt CCO on the line for the wife. What are the best gun shops in town? Which FFL will take transfers from out of state individuals, and at the best price? Thanks for the help guys.

Clark's Guns & Personal Defense used to be the best local shop (over in Bossier), but it closed a while back, and the owners went on the pro shooting circuit.

Clark Custom Guns is another option, but is out in the country near Princeton.

Ron's Guns is a small shop in Bossier that is packed with guns.

The Cash 'N a Flash pawn shops in S'port and Bossier carry lots of new and used guns. Worth a stop to browse.

Lorant's near Shreve City has some nice guns, but they tend to be pricey.

You might also check the pro shop out at Long Range Alley shooting range near Frierson. (318) 872-0111

There is also Academy and Bass Pro for shopping guns, but I'm not sure they do transfers.

For transfers, I have not called around for prices in a few years. I'd just work the phones for a few minutes. If you find a bargain, let us know.

The list of transfer FFLs on Gunbroker.com would be a good starting point, they usually list the cost for transfers.

Just got an email back from Willis Arms. Looks like I'll be going with him. Thanks for the help everybody.

Thanks for the tip on Willis Arms.

That's a great rate for transfers. I'll bookmark that site and spread the word.
