Shot a nice group with a Sako Vixen in 222 Remington today. Not a great group, but a very good group for me. First time I've tried Hornady's 53 gr. Match HP in the rifle.
In a spot of foolishness, I sold my Sako Riimakii in .222. It was a tack driver at 100 yards using Hornady .55 grain SX bullets. I now have a bull barrel for my Contender carbine in .222, but it doesn't shoot as good as the Sako.
Here is the other group I shot the same day from the Sako with a different bullet. Another first time try, this time with Hornady's 52gr. HPBT Match bullet.
Below is the load I typically shoot in the Sako (this one is a 10-shot group). Will probably look at switching to Hornady bullets since the Noslers are more expensive and have been unavailable for some time.
