good place to buy cheap shotgun shells?

Anybody know of a good deal of cheap shotgun shells? Just basic stuff for dusting clays in a pasture. I've been buying at walmart, but surely I can do better than that? Most of what I see on deal sites are buckshot or slugs or premium stuff. (some day I may roll my own, but for right now I don't have the space for wads and hulls and shot. Any my bench is already full of presses)

Dick's and Walmart have the cheapest stuff by far, and Dick's about once a month runs specials where you can buy an entire case of skeet ammo for like $20 or something like that... My dad and I walked out with 4 cases of the cheapo Federal stuff a couple months ago spending less than $75 a piece ($150 total). I haven't bought skeet ammo since.

Buying skeet ammo online is 99.9% of the time a lot more expensive than case or bulk packs at Wally World or Dick's.

Look online for Rio or Kemen target loads. They are excellent shells, if you are not a reloader, and are cheaper than the big 3.

There is no such thing as cheap shotgun shells.

When you buy the four packs at Walmart or other big box stores you are almost always buying 3 dram loads, more power than you need for dusting clays in a pasture.

The best price I have found locally for 2 3/4 dram loads has been at Dick's. They were regularly featuring cases of 10 for around $55. Rio, Estate, Gun Club, it does not matter, they are all just as good. Unfortunately the last time I walked into Dick's they said they would only run those prices when they had an advertised special. They were no longer everyday prices. They did have some stuff on sale at one point where you got the second box for half price, but they jacked up the price of the first box so you didn't save as much as you thought.

We are doing a group buy at my club right now and the cheapest shells are going to cost us $53 per case of ten.

Dicks runs the Remington Gun Clubs at $50 per flat periodically, it might get a price bump but keep an eye out for their flyers and when they are cheap, stock up. The Gun Club hulls reload like STS I'm told.
Wal*Mart also usually has good deals on their 100-shell value packs.

Other than reloading, that's it.

You can occasionally get a real deal at Walmart by buying cases. Sometimes there are rebates on the shelves this time of year too.

the wal mart near me has federal game loads in 7 1/2, 8 and 9 shot for $5.27 a box. or the 4 box pack for $22.97, don't know why wal mart here won't sell 4, 5, or 6 shot unless its in a hi powered shell.
