I have been wanting a .357 for a while now and recently found a Ruger Service Six. The gun feels solid and locks up good and the bluing is around 80%. Is $200 a good price?
I shopped for a Ruger Speed Six, stainless in .357 with 2 3/4 barrel for a long time. Ended up paying about $500 for a very nice one. Service Sixes at the time, about 18 months ago, were somewhat cheaper. I don't remember seeing any that went for under $300 in any condition.
I paid 250 for a blued 2 and 3/4 security six a year ago and was happy to have it. the service sixes, by me, don't turn up as much. for 200 i'd probably grab it.
I bought a 2.75" Service-Six almost 2 years ago and paid $300. I just sold it to a local shop for $255 so I would say a price of $200 is a very good price...
