Gore’s son arrested

Once more the rule of thumb is "Never carry more than you can eat between the time the lights come on the the officer is at the window."

Just tell them that the green stuff in your teeth is spinach.

I agree with leaving them alone too. They're parents obviously took that stance too. Maybe that's why the are in trouble now. But what really gets my goat is the fact that Bush's daughters made the front page. Gore's son was hidden in the back of my Knight-Ridder paper in a 3 inch column. And the press in not biased. :barf:

Couldn't possibly care any less about Gore's kid. The arrest is minor stuff that doesn't illuminate much of anything about his father's fitness for the Presidency. I'll be interested if the son commits armed robbery, commits suicide, joins the Taliban, etc. Slow news day I guess.

TheeBadOne

Are you advocating drug use?
He is a twenty-one-year-old man. If he didn't want to get arrested, he should have stayed home to smoke his dope.

I have no problem whatsoever with anyone smoking weed, carrying it upon their person, having it at home, buying it, selling it, growing it, or anything else. All of the laws prohibiting the above are written in prior restraint which is antithetical to our Constitution.

I am in support of the laws against the use of inebriants while driving. These laws require an overt act prior to enforcement. A person riding the bus, taking a cab, or walking is not a threat to the public safety regardless of how much they have ingested or how much they are carrying upon their person.

So, am I advocating drug use? Only at home, on your own time, and in the absence of any threat to the safety or well-being of the general populace.

Let's see, driving with the lights off? Smoking while driving? I'm anti-WOD but I'm pro-arresting people using drugs while in moving vehicles.

AG III has learned from his parents well! But I bet he was playing some good Christian rock when they got pulled over

Lets not forget he is a 21 year old man. I can understand saying to leave him alone if he is underage but he isnt. So as far as I am concerned he is fair game. If he didnt want his name in the paper then he is old enough to know better.

LEt's not forget all the holier than thou crap they spewed when the President's daughter had her substance abuse problems early in his presidency. Payback can be a :cuss:

This was probably buried on page 26 next to the crossword puzzle since it was about a liberal's kid. The bi-assed news media puts the conservatives in the headlines for the same thing. I wonder what Teddie's DMV record "really" looks like. :uhoh:

Let me clarify - I do NOT think he should get a pass from the law because he's a celebrity's son.

I DO think the children of celebrities (particularly political figures) should not be news any more (or less) than John Q. Nobody.

Fair enough. Now, throw the book at him.

"My question is, who are you referring to as the airhead bleeding heart liberal?

Clinton, Gore, Bush, or all of the above?"

You fill in the blank. I couldn't care less about smoking pot. I don't think it is a good idea to drive, but I think we have more important things to worry about, like maybe national politics and how that is being handled.
