Got a CMP Garand today! So excited.

I just got back from the range. I only put 40 rds through it because of the wind. I didnt really know what to expect before I fired it for the first time. When I fired my first round I couldnt help but smile from ear to ear, I think I had a smile on my face the whole time. It was awesome. Hopefully Ill be able to get it out this weekend when its supposed to be warmer and put a few more rounds through it.

By the looks of the numbers/characters I believe the markings on your rifle are Greek rack numbers. I also think yours is a Greek return due to the black finish on the metal. I have 2 Greeks, but no numbers. I would leave them there, part of that rifles history.

Hi. How are you doing. Whenever some would post that they went to the North store I would wonder to myself if it was someone I saw there. Trust me she wont let me forget the fact that she went with me for quite awhile. She said if I want to go back up there Im going to have to make a vacation out of it and take her somewhere she wants to go.

She said she liked the M1 Carbines because it was so light so maybe when I can get more money saved up Ill buy one of them.
