I was at the range several years ago. A guy was shooting his new Cobra for the first time. He was talking about how cool it was. Until the slide broke in half at the breach face.
The back half of the slide hit him in the face just below his eye. His safety glasses took the brunt of the impact. Probably saved his eye. It bled quite a bit. The paramedics
wanted to take him to the hospital, but the guy refused. I haven't seen him since, so I don't know about anything after the event.
I'm sure it was an isolated incident, but still....
