Went out to the gun show yesterday hoping to find a nice little gun for myself and ended up buying 2. One for the wife and one for me. :D These are our first 1911s and we're really excited about getting to the range tonite to shoot them. Hers is a Kimber Compact CDP II and mine is a Kimber Custom TLE II. Thanks for letting me have a minute to brag and extra thanks to all the members of THR who gave me solid advice on what to buy.

Awesome! I bought my wife a Walther P22. I am up next....S & W 642 with CT grips. They had a great price at the gunshow...so, next gunshow, lol, here we come!

Congratulations on your purchase....... although I am sure no one on THR thinks you got carried away by buying two guns!!!!! One can never have too many!!!!!!

I have the Kimber Pro CDP II..... and love it. It is my main carry..... 24/7

Nice, somebody must have got their tax return

Oh yeah, these two are courtesy of the IRS

As for a range report that might have to wait a couple days :( Been tied up with work all week but I'm hoping to get out first thing saturday and start breaking them in.

You didn't go overboard, and you bought good guns too. I've bought 3 handguns at a show before. No wonder I'm not married! And I've bought 5-7 before in one day on rare occasions.

Hope some others here are able to use the tax $ to buy some guns.
