If you buy aftermarket mags be careful of counterfeits. I like the Belgian surplus from the 70's. They are marked AyP in sort of a script. These are excellent mags. They are available in 30 and 15 rd. The 15 rd GI mags are usually more reliable than the 30 rd.

I'm trying to find out something about the serial number on my underwood
carbine.The serial number which is 1985894 according to the list of manufactures says it was made by standard products,not Underwood,but the barrel is stamped underwood 1943.Does anyone have an explanation for me?

Manufacturers otfen used parts from other makers. Not unusal the have a recever from one, a barrel from another. check at the CMP forum as they have tons of info.
