Got a pair?

If I had any .30-06 left, it would be my Garand and MC Operator.

Since all I have at the moment is 5.56 and .45, I'm left with a BCM/Spikes AR with an Eotech and 3x magnifier and my MC Operator.

My OCD is showing,,,

My OCD is showing,,,
I like creating order in an unordered world. :p

I get a great amount of enjoyment in assembling sets (or pairs) of guns,,,
There is no real virtue in doing this thing,,,
I simply enjoy creating them.

I have an scoped H&R Sportster in .22 LR,,,
I have paired that rifle with a scoped H&R Handi-Rifle in .357 Magnum,,,
Open the rifle case they live in and you will also find a Pair of Colt Mk-III Trooper revolvers,,,
One has a 4" barrel and is chambered for .357 magnum and the other has a 6" chambered for .22 LR.

I have a Henry Accu-Bolt rifle chambered in .22 LR,,,
I match this stainless steel rifle with a 4" S&W Model 63 revolver.

I own a very well performing Mossberg 702 Plinkster rifle in .22 LR,,,
This gun mates up very nicely with a 4" Ruger 22/45 pistol.

I also do this with handguns,,,
I have 9 pairs of handguns in matching rimfire/centerfire pairs.

CZ-75B in 9mm - CZ-75B Kadet in .22 LR
Taurus 25-PLY in .25 ACP - Taurus 22-PLY in .22 LR.
S&W Model 15 in .38 Special - S&W Model 18 in .22 LR.
S&W Model 36 in .38 Special - S&W Model 34 in .22 LR. (I own 2 pairs of these, one pair are snubbies and the other pair are 3-4")
Bersa Thunder 380 in .380 ACP - Bersa Thunder 22 in .22 LR.
Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 Special - Charter Arms Pathfinder in .22 LR.
Beretta Model 85 Cheetah in .380 ACP - Beretta Model 87 Cheetah in .22 LR.
J.P Sauer & Sohns SAA Clone in .357 Magnum - J.P Sauer & Sohns SAA Clone in .22 LR.

Last but not least I wanted a set of shiny guns,,,
S&W Model 629 N-frame chambered in .44 Magnum (Jezebel),,,
S&W Model 686 L-frame in .357 Magnum (Brighid),,,
S&W Model 67 K-frame in .38 Special (Morgana),,,
S&W Model 63 J-frame in .22 LR (Lilith).

I call them "The Harem".

Like I stated before,,,
There is no virtue in these sets,,,
It's just something I truly enjoy doing.

I'm in the process of encasing the gun sets now,,,
I buy my wood cases from Hampel's Woodland Products.

My range pair: Ruger Hunter and my brand new (to me) Marlin 39a

My hunting pair: FNP-9 and Weatherby MK V 30-06

My BBQ pair: Colt Python and Marlin 1894

More like belgium ;)

Well, there's that.

It's hard to find an FN product that I don't fall in love with.

I'd seriously considered getting my SOT at one point so I could get in police demos of the "fun stuff." M-249 (FN Minimi) isn't all that expensive brand new. Less than some people pay for certain semi-auto beltfeds. (I know, I'm one of 'those people' with a growing collection of non-machineguns.. sigh).

And on that note let's noisy up this thread.

My wife banned me from Knob Creek for 5 years. I lost more money there, in a shorter time frame, than the one time she let me step inside a casino in Niagara Falls..

For hunting it would be a Belgian p14 in 8mm and a Ruger super blackhawk in 44 mag. For fun it would be an hk91 with eotech and Uzi with factory k grip.

My deer season pair is a 1949 Winchester 94 in .32 Win Special, with a .357 Blackhawk in a shoulder rig. The 94 is loaded with 170 gr. lead RNFP, and the Blackhawk with 158 gr. lead RNFP. I have others; these are my favorites.

Ruger 10/22 and Ruger Mk-II. At least, back when I used to shoot in the field for fun. Places to do that around here have all-but disappeared.

Now, all my shooting (what little there has been lately) is paper-punching at the range. No real pairings there; I just bring a bunch and run them all.

So many combinations m of n items :)

M1 Garand and Ruger SR1911
AR-15 and Browning Buckmark Hunter
Ruger 10/22 and RIA 1911 in 9mm
Marlin 336CS and S&W 3" revolver in 32SWL

Those often get paired...

Vintage military match: .30 M1 Carbine and .45 1911 pistol
Modern military match: 7.62x39 Yugo M70AB2 rifle and 7.62x25 Czech CZ52 pistol
Visiting the mountain:
.22 Marlin 39 Mountie and .357 Ruger Security Six revolver, or
.357 Rossi Puma carbine and .22 Ruger Mark II pistol, or
.22mag Taurus pump carbine and .40S&W H&K USP pistol.

I'm going deer hunting Saturday and will be carrying my Rem 700 in .300 Ultra Mag with the XDS .45 on my side cause I always seem to get charged by Moose...I know .45 ACP isn't the best Moose stopper but it's the smallest most potent option

I like Staw Hats pairing. Very nice. My favorite is a Winchester 92 and Security Six.

Why yes, yes I do

Ok my favorite has to be an 1894C and a Ruger GP100 hands down. I like knowing that any extra ammo I am carrying will work in either one

Fun: Rossi 92 .357 and my S&W Model 10
Hunting: Savage 110 30-06 and S&W 629
SD: Maverick 20" 12g and Sig 220

Well I had a dot44 and a AC42, but things didn't go my way and I had to sell them.
Now I guess the closest I have to a pairing would be my 10/22 and Mod17.

My hunting rig = R25 + G20. Not that it's done me any good yet in my quest to obtain venison... I still have zero shots fired at anything but paper with these. :p

(this one now has a Nikon 50x4-12 on top)

(and this one's gotten trijicon sights and extended slide-catch since the pic was taken)
