I was at the guns how today, and I picked up another new 92FS today for $499. My other 92FS is a USA made model (as are my two M9A1s). This one is Italian made, like my 92A1 and 90-Two..

So yes, I do have a problem.... But, I am done collecting 92 variants now, unless I see something like a compact model or something...

Rumor has it that Beretta is re releasing the 92FSc. So I don't think your done quite yet. Very nice Collection by the way

They're great pistols, more power to ya. One is on my list as a future purchase.

I'd MUCH rather see this than a wheel-o-glocks:barf:

Nice line up. I just treated myself at an auction to a Beretta 92FC Compact Type M (with single column 8 shot magazine and thinner grip). Produced for only 3-4 years, they are highly sought by collectors and people in areas where more than 10 rounds are prohibited. You need to add one to your "family".

Not a stainless one in the bunch.....

I generally prefer stainless or slver guns. But the Beretta 92 is the ONLY gun that I PREFER in black. I don't care for the Inox models, personally. I did own one in the 1990s, but I always preferred black ones.

Yea, I saw that - I plan to snag one ASAP if I see one. I plan to basically pic up any new variants that come out in the future....

just wondering, what differences are there between the italian and american models?

Of the exact same model? Not really. The finish on the Italian ones is a little shinier. That's about it.

This is the one I got today...

I already changed out the grips, the hammer and added a "D" spring to lighten the trigger. Also put hex screws in place of the flathead screws.

And, the italian ones come with a roll pin (under the grips) - I changed it with the USA type pin that is easy to push out (I keep lots of extra parts)

Man, you are going to be in deep do-do if you get bitten by the 1911 bug

Haha, been there, done that.

I actually have an Ed Brown and a $3k custom springfield. so, I've done that before :)

Check out Dans ammo he has some used compacts and Centurions...at a sub $370 and $340 respectively.

You ain't the only one with a problem...

I've been trying to get out of the 9mm caliber for over a year. So what do I do? In the past year, I have added a S&W 659, S&W SW99 and in the coming week or so, I will be putting a Sig P226 and quite possibly a compact 92FS in the collection. I am totally OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!!!!!! So my friend, you are in good company!

Haha - yes, I know that there is always more out there. But I personally do not like to buy used guns. So, I only buy current models that are new that I can get my hands on. While I have two 92FS's and two M9A1s - I basically have a 90-Two, 92FS, 90-Two and 92A1. So, I have 4 different variants that are just range toys - and an extra 92FS and M9A1 that are carry guns.

ive had the beretta 92 on the must have list since i bought my first pistol back in 07. still havent bought one yet............its ashame.

nice collection! which is your favorite??

I'm not a big stainless gun fan but the 92 Inox is one that when seen in real life makes your mouth water like one of Pavlov's dogs at the sound of the bell. They really are exquisite. The pictures of them don't do justice to how the shadows play over the smooth low lustre bead blasted surface as you turn them in the light.

I got my own Italian made 92fs just a couple of months back. It's a superb gun that has found a happy home along with it's two CZ brothers in the 9mm drawer. But really... SIX OF THEM ? ! ? ! ? ! ? :D

The 92A1 is my favorite, followed by the 92FS I carry everyday. Had I not been carrying the 92FS for so long, and had carried one of my M9A1s for a while already - the 92A1 would be my carry gun. It balances nicely, and in my hands, it is my most accurate out of all of them. I see no point in scratching up EVERY gun I own, though. So, I only holster and carry the 2 of the 6 (and, I don't holster some of my other guns either)

Hey. It's quick reloads. :p

Thanks... My camera doesn't light up black items too well unless I am in the sun, but here is another cool pic :)

No Vertec or brigadier? I bought my Vertec a few months ago and it had maybe seen 100 rounds.

I've owned a Vertec in 2003. An Inox one at the time... I hated the grip. I like the curve of the standard 92 backstrap. So, no Vertec...

And, I don't buy used, so no Brigadiers, since they are out of production....
