well i am currently on RXR from the current deployment, and i went in today and picked up another XD .40 Service model. i got tan this time, my old one is green. Didn't spend much time with it at the range, just wiped it down, lubed it up, and shot 200 flawless rds. it will get alot more of a workout when i finally get back form the deployment. The plan for the 2 Xd's are as follows. They will be set up the exact same way, the older model (with over 17,000rds through it) will be my training gun, and the new xd will be my carry gun(after it proves plenty reliable, approx 1k rds of fmj, and several boxes of my carry ammo).
like the all teh xd's i have shot, and used, it is tight from the factory, and the trigger is good, but as from past experience, i know that it will get better with rounds through it. I look foward to breaking it.
once again i am very pleased with the XD, and as always, i highly recomend them to anyone who wants a super reliable, and highly accurate handgun, that is backed by a great company.
