New XD service model, what color Black or Flat Dark Earth?

Well i have decided that it is time to get another xd service model. I will be home on leave in May and i am gonna pick up another one. The one i have now will become my dedicated training gun(has over 17,000 through it now), and the new one after proven reliable will be my carry gun.

There are 2 options, the "essential package" (just the xd and 2 mags) in black for $399

or One in FDE, with the xd gear for $449

I don't need the xd gear, as i am square on edc stuff, and the $399 price tag to me is a great deal. However i do have a thing for colored guns, especially FDE/tan, my ar is tan, my plate carrier is tan, my thigh rig etc. The xd i have now is od and black.

This is a hard one, which one should i get?

I don't think it's a hard one.

Get what you like best, get the FDE. The 50 bucks will be worth it, to you.

For $50 dollars I would say get what you want. If you don't you'll probably always be thinking you should have. Other than the magazine loader I have never really used any of the XD gear that came with mine either.

Gotta agree with others. for $50 get what you want. I too always try and buy the model in OD green or Flat dark earth or whatever other color they call it... tans/browns/greens... im all in!... im tired of black guns i guess
