Is this a good trade? (XD & HK content)

A friend of mine offered to trade me his SA XD Tactical 45.ACP and $200 for my HK USP compact .40SW. Do you guys think this is a good trade? I'm debating the trade at the moment. I've been wanting another XD but I'm not quite sure if this is a good trade. I would really appreciate the experts of the High Road to give me some advice on this.

I know for a fact the XD has had less than 300 rds fired through it. I have shot the gun with my friend before and I am just as accurate with it as I am my USP.

EDIT: If I decide to get the XD it will replace my USP as my HD pistol. I do not plan on carrying this gun except maybe on range trips and the occasional outing in the woods.

I think as long as used prices are similar with a cash difference paid and you REALLY want the other gun, Between friends who shouldn't take advantage of each other its a good deal.

Id price the guns new vs new and subtract 1/3% -1/4% to come up with a used price to compare. The percentage depends on many factors including condition and maker and popularity.

If the $200 puts both guns in the same ball park and you want the deal then i say its a good deal, But if you have any reservations tell your friend so no grudges will ever be held.

Some may say they would never sell or trade a n HK for an XD, But both are great guns imo.

The price of the XD new and the $200 would put me pretty close to what I paid for it. I am not trying to take advantage of my friend. He proposed the offer and I told him I woudl think it over.

Absolutely not. Only an idiot would trade a USP for an XD. Are you out of your mind?

I have a USP and the XD45 Tactical and I prefer shooting the XD45. I might make that trade if I were in your position. It balances well and mine is very accurate. I use mine with a TLR-2 for HD.

Care to elaborate? What does the USP do that the XD can't that makes someone an idiot to trade?
