Hello,

I'm looking for some load data for 223.....I have some 64gr Win PP bullets and I have IMR-3031, IMR-4064 and IMR-4895. This is for an AR style rifle.

What have you guys had luck with?

thanks,
wooldl

I've used Imr 4064 with 65gr bullets seated to max mag length in 5.56 chamber. It shoots/cycles good and is accurate. I consider 23.5 grains to be max but it is listed at 24gr Compressed is max. As usual work up for best results.

IMR-4895 would be a good first choice, then IMR-3031, then IMR-4064. I like the IMR-4895 due to it dropping the most consistent charges from a powder measure. I had always had to drop low and trickle up to weight with IMR-4064 due to the long strands causing inconsistent powder charges from my RCBS Uniflow.

The 64 Grain Power Point is a good bullet. A buddy of mine has killed multiple deer with an AR shooting 64 Grain PPs. He has never recovered a bullet, always exits.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr
