I'm a lefty, so I picked up a Stag 2L. I added the handguard rail and vertical grip, Norgon ambi-catch, Badger Ordnance tac latch, and EOTech 512. Tomorrow it will be wearing a Magpul MIAD grip too. I took it out last weekend and ran 199 rounds of Wolf through it with no problems (I threw one out for a defect).

I'm looking forward to shooting it some more next weekend :)

Looks good. I thought about getting a left-handed Stag, but just decided to suffer comfort for 100% parts interchangeability with other ARs.

How do you like the EOTech? I just bought one and haven't got to shoot with it yet.

congrats,
you made a great choice in rifle, optics, and magazines for sure. can't wait to hea more about it.

How do you like the EOTech? I just bought one and haven't got to shoot with it yet.
love, mine that is the only optics i use on an ar.

how do you like the cowitness with the Eotech and the front sight post?
no riser in your future?

I haven't shot it with the EOTech yet, just iron sights last weekend. From what I've experienced in the apartment, I like the co-witness. Only reason I would get a riser now is so I can move it forward for easier access to the buttons on the back. Probably won't happen.

Thanks for all the kind words, everybody. I'll give a range report when I get back from my trip this weekend.

Mr. Clean- Where did buy your 2L from? I'm looking into buying the same model sometime in the next week.

Plas62, I bought it from Whittaker's Guns in Owensboro, KY. I was looking for a model 2TL, but they didn't have one in stock. They had a good enough price on this one that I decided the quad rail could wait for another day.

twofourthree73, I love the ambi-catch. I like that I can run the mag release and bolt catch/release with my trigger finger without having to change my grip on the rifle. I ordered it from Midway USA, I think I paid around $90 for it.

I don't have any complaints about the EOTech's co-witness. It didn't bother me at all. I would still like to have a little more room between the EOTech and my BUIS, but I'll probably just deal with it until I upgrade to a free floated quad rail hand guard instead of installing a riser to clear my current hand guard.

With cheap steel cased ammo I was able to keep all of my shots on paper at 200 yds. using the EOTech or the irons from a prone position. I have some different ammo on order to see if it groups any better, but for now I'm happy with the precision. I don't expect this rifle to be a tack driver.

The Magpul MIAD grip is also a keeper. I have big hands, and this grip blows the standard pistol grip out of the water. Highly recommended.

the eotech is real nice when you got the flip up ironsights, since you can always use the irons if your eotech's batteries die or malfunction, provided your optics are still clear.

Excellent.

How many of us have picked up a lower, lower assembly, or complete rifle lately, just in case. I know sales are brisk, that's for sure.

nice looking AR. See you went all out on the very first one, nice job
