I promised myself as soon as I knew Heller was going to the Supremes that I would purchase a firearm in celebration of a victory for our side.

I wanted that gun to be something I wanted, it had to be uniquely American in an American caliber. It was to scratch a nostalgic itch as well as a practical one.

Today I found her. A Marlin 1894CB in .357 Magnum with the octagonal barrel. Lever action and .357 mag. Maybe not as American as a 1911 or Colt SAA but close. I love these Marlin's in .357 magnum and have had nothing but good time s with my 1894C. Anybody who is into the .357 magnum Marlin's also knows they can be a bit%# to locate at times, especially locally as Marlin doesn't seem to produce a whole heck of alot of them and people don't generally sell them.

At any rate here is my Heller Victory gun and a shot of her with the whole lever Family of 3 Marlin's and 1 pre 64 Winny.

Very nice, love those Marlins.

Got a celebratory NIB 336W 30-30 yesterday myself. I am jealous of the straight stock.:D I do love the look, and the feel of'em!
