A 16" threaded stainless 1894 in 357?! With peep sights? Where have you been all my life! Ruger pistol carbine, eat your heart out.

I could do without the big loop lever though.

There is also a stainless/laminate unthreaded version with X's sights, as well as the regular 1894c and a blued version with an octagon barrel.

Assuming the build quality doesn't suck (please don't screw this up again remington. Please) then I want them all.

Ugh... come on.

I wish they would just make the CLASSIC wood and blued steel 1894 again. I get how people want a new tacticool suppressor host, bro, but can't we old guys just get something old school? You know, like how they used to be?

Suppressor threads have been the only genuinely useful feature that 1894:s have been missing all along. Both .38 and .44Special are readily available, subsonic rounds as factory loads and perfect for a suppressed lever gun. Ok, threads and a thread protector alter the classic looks ever so slightly but it's a small price to pay for an effortless off-the-shelf solution for shooting (and hunting) at very subdued dB levels without even having to load your own ammo.

Although I also prefer blued+walnut and stainless+laminate combinations over any plastic in my lever guns.

I use to prefer blued too, then I started fighting rust in a high humidity environment. I'm a big fan of stainless, cerakote, nitride, basically anything that won't rust.

Since all of the parts on this new model are readily available elsewhere (XS sights, big loop lever, polymer stocks) along with custom finishing this is a expensive gun by a company with a horrible record of quality control and management just for having a threaded muzzle.
