Went to get the S&W 1911 I posted about in another thread.
Wouldn't you know it, the guy that walked in right in front of me was there for the same gun!
Now, this guy only wanted the 22 conversion kit that came with it, and the dealer was going to sell it to him.
We all got to talking, and the guy said he would bow out and let me have it.
I said, no because he got there first, and he had a Kimber pistol, and the Kimber conversion should go on a Kimber pistol.
So he bought the 22 conversion.
That left a beautiful S&W 1911 there all lonely, and looking like it needed a home.
I bought it for $150.00 less than the 2 Kimbers in the case next to it.
Upper is (was) unfired, lower was used to fire 2 mags from the conversion kit, so, I'm calling it ANIB.
I put 50 rounds through it when I got home, and am very happy with its performance. All 50 landed in a group about the size of my fist.
Here is the obligatory photo proof.
Not sure how well I like the green Hogue grips, but new ones are cheap if they don't grow on me.
