Very impressed with this pistol so far. Haven't shot it, just picked it up from the gunstore.

As someone who has owned, carried, and been quite fond of the Makarov over the years, I immediately think that I like the CZ-82 better. Already wishing I had gotten two instead of one.

This pistol fits my hand like a glove, much better than almost any pistol I have ever held. I love the position of the safety, feels a lot like a 1911. The sights are far better than the Makarov and I like that you can carry cocked and locked. Greater ammo capacity than the Mak, better mag release, and the trigger feels smoother to me. Ambi safety and mag release are a bonus. Least of all, I think it looks pretty sexy, much better than the Mak.

The Mak is better in a few areas though. Slightly thinner (for CCW), better finish, and less parts (which should hypothetically make it more reliable).

I am really upset that I took so long to get one of these. Happy that I have corrected that now.

I paid $10 extra for the hand picked. Have another brother who just bought a couple a few days after me, didn't get the handpicked. It will be interesting to see how his look in comparison and if it is just a little rougher finish or overall condition or not.

It looks like it is in better shape than I expected. I still may refinish it eventually though, just for the heck of it.

Loving this gun though. Excited to see how it shoots!!

Here is a pic.

And the Mak, just for the heck of it.

wow did you say you snagged this from aimsurplus? i looked on their website and they arent listed. do you mind if i ask how much you paid for it? i saw that jgsales had some and am looking for a good bday present for my girlfriend.

thanks!

AIM had them listed for about a week I think and sold out. They haven't been listed for a week or so. I paid $229, plus $10 for the hand picked. It came with 2 mags instead of one like the ones from JGsales. That made the different for me. Plus, hand picked for JG sales was an additional $20.

I would get one. Heck, I would get 2 or 3. These are very cool guns. You will not regret getting one I believe. I don't... I think I am in love...

Love both of mine. The only problem is trying to use my wife's now and then. She says it hers and hers alone. They are both very accurate and fun to shoot. Also carry it now and then but it is a little heavy.

had a CZ-83 for a long time, but sold it to fund buying a valmet. once cash becomes available, I am gonna pick up one of those CZ-82s from CDNN.

My mom has a CZ-82, and will never let go of it. It's her favorite pistol of all time. Fits her hand well, the slide is easy to rack, and its accurate.

I got an -82 for my mom. She LOVES it. I have a SIG p-6 and love it too. We went shooting and now I want CZ-82 for myself! Love the magazine capacity for the small size of the gun. Also seems very reliable and is simple enough for my mom (field stripping etc.).

I payed $160 for it at Centerfire Systems. Check it out!

I have a CZ82 that I bought from AIM almost two years ago. The first one had some problems, and AIM replaced it with one that was even nicer looking than my original. It shoots better than I do, and like so many have said, I love the way fits my hand. I liked it so much that I bought a CZ75PCR to keep it company in the safe.

I was very impressed with the ballistics on this baby. That 9x18 sure has some range on it, much more then I would have thought.
