While I have your attention, I live in Ohio and am trying to get a buddy's P95 for cheap. Is there anything about a private transaction that I need to know about? No registration is required in Ohio. All that happens when I buy at a shop is they do a backround check and thats it.

Thanks

Private sales are just that, private, no paper work, no paper trail.

Nice P345. Looks just like mine. I had an '04 P345 with the stainless slide that I really liked. Just sold it privately, took the money and bought a brand new all black P345. They're great guns, accurate and super reliable.

Thanks

Yeah I'm loving this gun. It's rare for me to prefer a blued/blackened slide over a stainless, so that says a lot for it. The ergonomics are freakin tantalizing. I'll get it to the range on Sunday, hopefuly.

Great photogtraphy. Looks professional. Makes me want to buy it. Congratulations!!

welcome to thr, congrats on the ruger, i used to own a p345, and it was the least expensive gun that i owned but by far the most accurate.

Nice weapon! i used to have its older brother the P90,i wish i still had it too.
You dont here or see many Rugers being talked about in forums, but ive always been a fan of them.

My brother bought one last year. He loves it!

I gave him 300 rounds of factory .45 ammo, and he was thrilled.

Despite what you might read about the P345 on the forums.

His gun has ran 100% since shot one.

cool ruger, used to have a ruger p90 45, it wasn't 100% reliable even with fmj, but it was accurate and comfortable to shoot, i'm sure your's will be fine though, i think i just got a bad one lol

Nice pistol I have been wanting one of those for a couple of years but somehow I keep winding up with other stuff. sigh- Maybe one day I'll get one.

Very nice pistol you have.I've been wanting to try one of those out and the 9mm version as well. One of these days...tom.:)

I have one of the early ones (not black). In fact it was my first gun--a gift from my wife. I think she regrets it now (translated--I've bought more than a few more guns).

Well I finally got to the range for the first time with it tonight. All I can say is... Freakin awesome! Had about as much felt recoil as my buddies Ruger .40 cal. I was able to get back on target pretty quick. After the 3rd mag I was making 3-4 inch groups pretty easily. Only put 50 rounds through it, and no failures of any kind. The single action trigger pull is excellent, and the DA isn't too bad either. Very smooth.

Grip question

Just bought a new 345 the other day. I noticed the Ruger insignia on my grip is not red, like in every picture of every P345 I've seen on the internet, it's not colored at all. I can live without the color insignia (although it does look cool), but I'm wondering if this means I have some weird version of the thing.

Any info out there in internet land????

My recently purchased P345 has the black logo also. All the new ones do. The red logos are older models - maybe last year, don't know exactly when they changed to the black one.

I had the same question you did so I contacted Ruger CS and they said that the red logo is no longer offered. Production has been changed and only the black "stamped" logo is offered now.
