Got the GF a new gun

Well, a week ago, I took my GF shooting for the first time. She absolutely LOVED it. As her b-day was a week away, my gift to her was obvious.

So, today, I purchased a FNP-9 for a little under $400 out the door at a gun show. It took a little wheelin and dealin, but I came home with the bugger and a little ammo to shoot it with. She and I are going out tomorrow to have some fun...with the gun that is.

Just thought you'd like to know.

-edit- To all the SIG guys out there, I have a question. The same dealer had a gently used SIG 220 for $420. CDNN lists them for a bit less ($350-$370) for the model I'm looking at. Should I jump on it or hold out for my Steyr S9?

Be careful with buying your GF, wife or significant other a gun. She may want to pick something that will TOTALLY surprise you......like a Glock.

No fear of that. She picked up several Glock models to get a feel for them.

You'll notice that we came home with an FN pistol.

Actually, the one who is in danger of buying a Glock is me. I'm having trouble locating a Steyr S9 locally and there are so many G19s just begging me for a spot in the safe.

My local gun shop ordered my Steyr M9 from Davidson's with NO obligation to buy. Lots of good shops offer the same courtesy. Find out if you have this option with those in your area. Hope this helps!
