Made it out to Swan Creek today to dial in the scope I picked up in Birmingham at the Gunshow yesterday. It's a NcStar 3-9X42E. I got it for $50.00. What a deal! Anyway I took off the old Leapers and installed the new scope. I took it to the range with 100 rounds of Silver Bear 62 gr .223 ammo. After getting it dialed in at 50 yds I figured I could find paper at 100. At 100 it started out a little high but dialed in easily. Then it lost it's zero. I checked it and the single bolt and nut attaching it to the carry handle was getting loose. After tightening it as much as I could with my fingers (forgot my pliers) I shot this group.:D :D :D :D

I did mess up agian however. Ater I got home, I tried to tighten the nut with pliers and broke the bolt. Now I'll have to find a mounting bolt. The original had a hole drilled through it for a pin. The bolt didn't have enough strength left. Being that the pin is to hold the bolt in place while installing I think I can do without it on a replacement. Hopefully this will give it enough strength to properly tighten. Other than that I like the scope.

Scotty, that is one nice group! Glad you like your new toy! Kids n myself went out this morning and busted a few rounds. Dad hasan't lost the touch.

I also ran 100 rounds through my new Cetme rifle. It functioned flawlessly. I'll have to get a tool to adjust the elevation as it printed about 10 inches high. I shot a rapid fire (20 rounds in less than 20 seconds) group measuring 5 inches at 100 yards with it. I was impressed with the rifle. I'll really have to test it after getting it adjusted for elevation.

Next you will need to try your CETME at the 200m range in Skyline. PM me when you would like to meet up there.

PDT203,

It may take a few weeks but I'll take you up on that. I don't get to try shooting over 100 yds very often.

P.S. jobu07, the ruler was my daughters. I borrowed it because I knew my grid target didn't print to scale. I didn't want anyone thinking I shot a half inch group. 3/4 inch was miracle enough for me. I've alway said that Bushmaster could do more than I could. After I fix my scope mount I'll have to try to duplicate the effort.
