Gov. Cuomo Agreed Confiscation/mandatory buy back program is an option that will be looked at. Be it for "Assault Weapons" or "clips" is unsure. Jan 9th will be when we hear what NY's leaders have in store for us. He assured the host that he too owns "A" gun. The host said "a shotgun, right?" Cuomo sounding a bit confused replied "yes" so naturally Cuomo is a 2A guy...

Mods if this already been hit on or is in wrong spot I do apologize.

Sen Feinstein has firearms and a concealed carry permit. Do we consider her pro-2A as well?

Charles Schumer also owns and regularly fires weapons in NY, is he in our cause?

Just because a politician owns firearms, or has bodyguards that do does not mean that they support the Second Amendment, they merely support it for themselves. They are hypocrites in the highest regard.

I am getting depressed. I knew this was gong to happen after the election.

. I can not believe what is being said. The MSM is totally out of control. Talk about liberal bias. There is no way they can deny it now. I am sick. Piers Morgan on CNN showed u-tube videos of AR-!5's that had been converted to auto's. I wonder if they were truthful. I would love to find him reporting on a fake video. He got fired from the Mirror in England for showing a fake video of British shoulders mistreating a civilian during the middle east war.. I wonder...... I would like to shut him up if he is lying. He is pushing and pushing every night. Screaming down John Lott or anyone else and calling them liars. Now politicians are calling for this is scary.

So how many pro 2A folks live in New York folks are finally going to say "the fight's just not worth it" and leave?

I'm all for staying and fighting, but I'd leave for sure.

The thing is, this would almost certainly be deemed unconstitutional later, but given that I"m sure they'd shred the guns once confiscated - I wonder what could be done?

"Gee guys - guess we shouldn't have done that. Sorry - here's the pieces to your gun back."

I think, for many of us, state-level legislation is going to be the greatest immediate risk. The anti-gunners have gained a lot of political seats here in Colorado in the past couple of elections, whereas the US house is still controlled by conservatives. We'll see, but from where I'm sitting, I'm worried about it coming at me from two angles.

And there are few journalists I hate more than that idiot Piers Morgan. He's a liar, he's uneducated on this subject, and he basically just insults anyone who doesn't agree with what he says. He's pathetic.

leave your friends you've had since you were a kid, your parents, aging grandmother or grandfather, brothers or sisters, a steady job, your home. etc. I get the argument and may have to pick and go but its not like finding a new home is like buying a cup of coffee. These laws are rotting NYS and can or will start rotting other states too. And what happens when your state starts with talk like that too. Dont kid yourself you have the same politicians as NY maybe not as many but they are there just waiting.

I'd love to leave. I have looked at moving to PA for some time. But my job is in NYC. It's just not possible right now.

Yeah, I can understand where you're coming from on that. My state is *currently* pretty darn gun friendly, but we're also facing a changing demographic, and leadership that is promising new guns laws very soon.

Neighboring states aren't facing that problem, and I'd like to say that I'd just go somewhere like NM, MT, WY, ID, or UT if things got stupid here. But, I need my job just like everyone else, and I can't just uproot my life over this issue. Hopefully things don't get bad for us here, because I'd surely lose my mind living in NYC. Gun laws there are probably the worst in the country. Even as a police officer I pretty much got accosted at LaGuardia as I attempted to LEGALLY check my firearm for my flight home. Had I not been in LE I'd have been charged with a felony for attempting to check my gun in baggage, just like anyone else can do, anywhere else in the country.

when the local govt is FORCING you to sell your possessions, then yes, its probably time to start looking for another place to live....

if they can pass that, whats stopping them from coming after your car, your home, your clothes........"oh sorry, homes with more than 4 windows are illegal and belong to the state now"......

its called "eminent domain" they can force you to sell your home and property, I think that is a federal law not sure but it gets used in NY. If X wants your land for an airport they can take it, if X has a better economic plan for your land. They offer you market value, and if you dont want to move you get escorted out for free. just happened couple towns over to a farmer.

???...how the hell is that justifiably legal in ANY sense of the law.?

They CAN NOT do anything they want. Its OUR country and we run it. THAT is where we are losing ground, by having the mindset that they can we have become weak and lazy. We pay they and it is the peoples gov. It is time we stood up and took our rights back. They will NOT buy back my guns and they will NOT take my guns or my property, that should be everybodys stance. We ARE the people and we ARE the government we give them their power and we can take it so we need to start acting like it. WAKE UP AMERICA!

As I live in Arizona I won't have to face any of this, but perhaps a constructive suggestion might be to consider out-of-state storage for the threatened firearms if worst comes to worst. Eventually the courts may put an end to it.

I find myself more and more inclined towards viewing the gun control and confiscation interest groups and their political lackeys as a disease process in the affected limb, such as malignancy or gangrene, that must be removed by radical surgery, i.e., amputation so that it doesn't metastasize. Bandaging won't do it.

If ever one team owed another some serious payback, it's in the case of the pro and the anti-liberty camps.;)

Forced confiscation?

It's almost like they WANT the powder keg to blow up on them.

They shouldn't mess with a population in economic turmoil with such a high unemployment rate.
