Yup, I still think one of the best revolver grips around is a Security Six with Hogue Pau Ferro's. That is a handy .357. Also pretty tough, easy to clean, and did I say handy.........
I think your Ruger six will handle the commercial rounds you want to use in it. It was a good but underated gun.
As far as the S&W k frame My freinds and I shot alot of 357 out of 13, 19 and 66s with out a problem, even some hand loads I would have been affraid to shoot out of anygun (i don't handload but I've seen friends do crazy things) I did hear of a shipment of 66s in the early 80s that had the cylinder to barrel gap too tight that would bind when the metal heated up.
I've always believed that the L frame is a great gun but alot of marketing gimmick on the part of S&W. They still make the K frame magnum and people still buy them in huge numbers. I doubt that there were enough problems to justify an new handgun line. and if so why still market K fram mags instead of K frame 38s that have been +p rated for decades?
