I was looking at some gp100 pictures and I was noticing that the grip on the 3" model seems smaller, does this mean the hogue monogrips from the 4" and 6" models won't fit it?

probably not, since the frame is shorter on the 3", like you noticed.

All GP-100's have the same grip frame. The fixed sight models come with a smaller grip that is interchangeable with the adjustable site models if you wish. I have a 4" adjustable sight and put the smaller grip on it as it fits my hand better. All aftermarket grips will fit any version of GP-100.

Now comes the confusing part. The grips are interchangeable, but the grip panels are not. The smaller grip uses the same panels as the SP-101 and the large grip uses only the large sized grip panels. A lot of people see the SP-101 panels interchange and think the grip will interchange as well, they do not. More confusion? The lage and small GP-100 grips will also fit the Super Redhawk.

Good luck and good shooting, the GP-100 is a great gun.

Tim nailed it. All GP100s and all SuperRedHawks can take each other's grip sets or any aftermarket grips. The metal underneath is identical.

The smaller GP100 factory grip set is found on the 3" and 4" barrel fixed sight GP100s. Some people get these from either Ruger or Lett:

...and put them on the adjustable sight GP100s or even SRHs, if they have smaller hands.

Lett is Ruger's supplier and also does their own line of aftermarket grips for Rugers. Or you can switch entirely to Hogue, Eagle, etc.
