Green mountain "sporter" contour 10/22 barrels

Has anyone used one of these barrels on their 10/22 yet? If so, what kind of groups are you getting.

Also, how close to the factory contour is it? The reason I am asking is, I started building a "NON" heavyweight rifle for my 10 year old daugter and she wants to use the Hogue overmoulded stock. One of the web sites said the GM "sporter" barrel was NOT the same contour as the factory barrel and I am wondering if I can widen/deepen the Hogue barrel channel to fit the GM sporter for her.

From what I have read over at rimfirecentral.com the Green Mountain sporter takes just a little sanding of the stock to fit the factory Ruger tapered channel. I do not own a Green Mountain barrel but everyone over there seems very happy with the performance of their barrels.
