At long last. Back in Jan of '20 I said I'd try some Ti silencer parts in "The Dip".
Well, I did. I checked with the shop I bought my silencers from (Silencer Central) and they said now sweat, go for it. It can remove the black finish on the outside of the tube they warned me. So I finally have. It's been so long that you probably don't care anymore, but I said I answer back.
Works a treat! It's been way too long since I cleaned 'em, and the .22 was really bad. So it soaked for three or four days. All the lead, all the carbon was either gone or just wiped off with a rag, no sweat. Beautiful.
I used gloves to keep the solution off of me. It is poisonous and absorbs easily through the skin so I wanted to be careful. Sure works though.
I would have added this post to the original thread but it was so old it was closed.
