I have a 8" Colt Anaconda. It came with Pacorro rubber grips. They felt small. I tried Hough wood grips open back still didn't feel right recoil hurts. Yes I know my loads are pretty hot. Then some Eagle grips called their "Classic" Dang that gun kicks hard. So now I have Colt Factory over sized Finger groove grips. Still kicks hard unless I shoot light stuff like 11grs of Unique behind 250 gr cast. Because 21grs of H110 behind a 320 gr Bear tooth rocks my world,28grs of Lil'Gun behind 180 gr bullet snaps against the back of my hand. Ok so i've read that I want my grips narrow at top and to "Flair out" at heel so the gun rolls in my hand under recoil. So what about Herritt':banghead:s Bill Jorden Double action grips? Or their Roeper grips ? They want me to send the hand gun along with a trace of my hand. What a hassel ? So am I expecting too much? :what:

I own a S&W M640 which is a 23oz .357 Magnum J frame with a 2" barrel. When you fire full power Magnum rounds you know you are shooting a Magnum for sure. It came with a set of grips from Badger Custom Grips and I was amazed. When shooting 145gr Winchester Silvertip .357 Magnum ammo I feel no discomfort at all. The design of the grips works very well to tame the felt recoil. I liked them so much I bought a set of Boot grips for my M642. (both are in Rosewood) You might want to look into a set of their grips for your Colt. (the full size grips of course, not the Boot grips)
