Grouse Hunters Beware

Fella's;

Nah, it's fairly typical behavior for a tom to defend it's territory. I've seen 'em attack the tires of a pickup truck. It seems that if the bird doesn't recognize it as a predator, he'll try to run it off his patch.

Ah! That's why the put those GROUSE CATCHERS on the front grill of the pick up trucks. It's to stop the attack of the Saber-Toothed Grouse Toms.:scrutiny::scrutiny::scrutiny:

I used to date a girl in Eustis, Fl that had a goose. That goose hated me for some reason. It was always atacking me. One day I slipped an empty dog food bag over its head. He stumbled backwards and fell down. I left him like that. He still hated me. Finally bought her a german sheppard (hoping it would kill the goose. Never happened.

Old timer back home in Montana had the best crab apples in the area . . . they seldom got "raided," and never by the same folks more than once. He had an old Tom turkey that would sneak-up in full "stealth mode," then attack. Don't ask how I know this, but it HURT! God Bless Ya, Old Man Kelly . . .

Bruce;

Didn't say the truck was movin'. Did see it happen though. Still don't have a 'grouse catcher' on the front of my rig. Got one on your's?

Well no, I don't have the Grouse Catcher, so I guess I at serious risk in Grouse Country. However, I'm very good at yelling: "Shoo! Shoo!":neener::neener::neener::neener:
