......and I believe that if he's not working he's carrying illegally in NJ.....we'll see on that one.

While I do agree that a revolver can be a very effective weapon, this particular video isn't a good example of that. It does prove that a guy with a gun and the will to use it has a tremendous advantage over people armed with fake guns who are inclined to give up as soon as things start to go wrong for them. This proves that a revolver, by someone knowledgeable in its use and willing to use it, can still be a very effective weapon.
It does show how differently our perceptions are.
I see a Officer walking into a convenience store that was not expecting trouble. The reason I believe he was not expecting trouble was the video (30 second mark) shows him drawing his gun from the holster.
It does indeed! I see the gun and gun hand being the first thing through the doorway. I don't see any movement that indicates a draw from a holster. I see a gun in the hand when he walks in, pointed down as he enters and brought straight up to fire.
I went back and watch the video.
If you're watching the door you can see him charging up the side walk. He grabs the door and comes through it gun in hand shooting.
Probably carries Buffalo Bore FBI loads in that revolver....lol.
We can agree to disagree then.Well I had the opportunity tonight to watch the robbery video on a much better computer and larger screen. After watching the video I retract my previous comments. I keep forgetting that my Midwest Bible belt values do not apply to places like New Jersey.
If the Security Officer was carrying in violation of State Law which is being suggested then he is in for a long prison sentence. Mandatory prison sentence for the gun violation and time for shooting two disadvantaged inner city youths trapped by lack of job, drugs and lack of education. All to often we see how gun laws are intended to punish the average law abiding citizen.
What I do disagree with is oilhunter2014 statement that “can see it happening before i walk in i am walking back to the truck and calling 911 and do everything to get a description of the suspect, vehicle and which way they went.”
Me? working in New Jersey? I am getting in my vehicle and leaving. If I stick around and give a statement to Officers what happens if one of the Officers observes that I am carrying either on my person or in my vehicle illegally? All for trying to help the Police catch the bad guys who will most likely never even go to trial if by some odd chance they get caught.
I know of very experienced white LEO’s that say they will never shoot a young black man. It is not worth the political and media storm that will follow. We had a white Officer that interrupted a young, black male breaking into cars in a parking garage. The black male fired a shot at the officer and ran away. The Officer did not return gunfire or make any attempt to pursue his attacker as it was not worth the investigation and political fallout to him that would follow if he had shot the other person.
Sad but welcome to Obama's America where the Police act stupidly.
We can agree to disagree then.
This apparently happened in Compton, CA.
