I have a question about putting a Quick Release mount on my Marlin Guide Gun. My problem is wanting a quality mount that will allow me to remove my scope and be able to remount and go back to zero.

Any suggestions? I have been told the QR Leupold one piece mount is to thick to use the iron sights when the scope is removed. True or False?

I would appreciate your input.

Thanks,

I wouldn't use anything else but those. Add an XS Ghost ring sight and then you're set.

New to this so more questions. Where do you attach the ghost ring with the QR mount?

Ghost ring is a peep sight, isn't it?

Use the leupold one piece Weaver style base, it has a groove cut in it so you can see your irons. Then get the Weaver style leupold quick release rings. Midway has everything you need #463702 and #815053

Stockett... He is talking about QR rings you are talking about QRW rings. Diferent animal.
I cannot see the factory sights with my Leupold QR mount in place. It is A great system though and returnes to zero very well. Makes A second scope possible. If one goes bad just pop it off and pop on the other and you are good to go.

Badlander, I saw he was asking about QR not QRW. I was just showing him an option, because like you said you can't the irons with the QR bases. I think the QR is nicer looking but my Marlin has the QRW so I can use the factory irons.
