gun case that won't rust your gun?

i know the hard cases with foam won't rust a gun but what about soft cases? i know they used to rust a gun if left in there over night. im looking at these for a ruger american .22lr:

polyester vs. nylon case. or would they both rust a gun?

I would not put a gun in any case for long term with foam or padding etc. in it unless you plan on wiping down pretty regularly.

Maybe throw in a decident packet or two.

I do have several pistols that have spent years hanging in safes inside of those cheap nylon holsters and never had an issue. I use them to keep the triggers covered.

They make "socks" that fit shotguns or un scoped rifles. They breathe and won't cause rust

1) Don't store it in a case.
2) if you have to case it for storage, use one of the gun socks.
