Gun Collections left in passing.......

I'm 50 and in good health, so hopefully don't have to worry about it for another 30 years. But... My dad is in his 80's and deteriorating too fast. He had at one time a collection of firearms that was 5x greater than my gross worth. Lots of custom high-end rifles, doubles, and Sharps rifles. Multiple safes full of $5k+ rifles with some approaching $50k.

He's sold off quite a few over the past few years and given me a couple of them that I will always treasure.

When he passes, what I get will be cared for and appreciated.

But when I pass? I have two kids. One is my daughter who married a fine young man in the Air Force, but both lean left and have little interest in firearms. The other is my son, who based on our conversation a couple of days ago, is very much a woke snowflake leftist and would rather turn in any guns I leave him or have them destroyed. Breaks my heart.

My only hope is my three grandsons that my daughter is raising, but I have little time with them due to military life and will have to lobby hard to instill in them conservative values. Perhaps one of them will grow up to appreciate the value and beauty of a custom built Al Biesen Pre-'64 Model 70. If not, then I guess our family line of proud and conservative outdoorsmen and conservatives will end with me. Just tragic.
