They seem to be very different things The C&R licenese is a FFL issued by the ATF to allow you to buy and sell old guns. What you linked is a degree mill diploma that says you're a gunsmith. If you want to buy old guns the latter doesn't help you out. If you want a diploma that says you're a gunsmith the 1st doesnt help you out.

Since when is MIT a "trade and vocational" school? I'll be this is news to MIT.
I just tried Googling AATVS. They have a web site. The design look suspiciously similar to that of the "university" claiming to be accredited by them. Curiously (or not), nowhere on the AATVS web site is there any indication of where they are located. There is no physical address, no mailing address, no telephone or fax number, and no e-mail contact. The only way to contact them is to fill out an on-line form and submit it, which allows them to remain anonymous to you.
