Gun control and firearm burying questions

Boston T Party recommends that you never bury your cache on your own land. If a cache is found, the property it's on will be confiscated by the feds.

Early one morning:

TBL's Wife: "Thin, there's a couple of guys burying some sort of white tube
at the edge of our woods."

TBL (sipping coffee, reading news online): "Yeah...ok....I'll move that later..."

I would think they would pass laws to ban the sale of high cap mags first along with military assault style firearms, leaving certain hunting and shotguns alone for the time being. Then they will tax the hell out of ammo and anything gun related and not long after stop the sale of "assault" ammo. Then they will shut down gun shows and gun shops that don't comply with new laws. After that they will change the 2ndA. Then they will have gun buy back programs followed by "rewards" to those who anonymously tip them off to those who have banned guns. That's kinda the way I see it.

The way I see it, there is only one war we need to win, and that is the Soft War.

We can win that one one way, and one way only. That is by introducing new shooters into the fold.

There are, say 100,000 truly 2nd amendment dedicated gun owners out there.

There are approximately the same number of trully anti 2nd amendment supporters out there.

Every one else is just a fence sitter with leanings one way or the other.

These are the folks who need a push. Some are "fudds", some are teachers, some are your next door neighbors.

These people need to be reached.

Get some .22's and get cracking folks! There's work to be done!

Where can you take a new shooter to get them going in a friendly safe enviroment?

An Appleseed.

Not one near you? Start your own. Contact us for instructor support, but just do a little prep work yourself, and be ready to have a great time while introducing new shooters.

One of the problems facing the John Q. Publics out there is a lack of history. They don't understand why we have the 2nd admendment. They don't know why a nation of Riflemen is nessisary.

They don't even know what the diference between a citizen and a subject.

Appleseed plants the seed of history. We can give them (and you) the information nessisary to get out there and begin to question the falicies of the mass media machine. Of our own government. Of our own schools.

Appleseed is not a milita organization, we teach nothing but basic riflemanship, history and saftey. We are a steping stone for new shooter to become interested and aware in the traditions of not only firearms, but living free.

Then maybe I can dig up anything I might have burried, and bring them home to be loved and shot like they should be.

Because if we all reach out to ten non shooters and get them going, we have won simply through multiplication.

Good luck!

Enemy #1 of Gun Rights = Michael Bloomberg

Folks this guy is scary. You think there's no way "they" will want to come take your guns outright? This guy will try if he keeps getting more power. First of all I have direct experience over the past 15 years dealing with the company he created and it is one scary cult-like organization. Their sales people are freakishly brainwashed and think their sh*t don't stink. Bloomberg is an egomaniacal hypocritical control freak. All his female sales people were gorgeous (nothing wrong with gorgeous women mind you) and he's a pig as evidenced by the numerous sexual harassment lawsuits filed against him. He was known to throw telephones at his employees. And now look at the BS crap he's trying to pull WAY out of his jurisdiction...I hope someone sues the crap out of him over this.

And what happens if by some scary result this guy gets in the White House?. You New Yorkers gotta get this guy out of office and fast. Or I'm getting some PVC and grabbing the shovel!!

Until the net gets shut down to all except the military and enforcement agents.

Then what do we do? There aren't enough silversmiths on horseback to go around.

I don't think that would happen, but there's always phones, newsprint, radio(CB and AM) and possibly television. Lots of folks like us have grouped together on these forums so that we can fight together against these issues as one. Together we are a majority and we can call or write our congressmen to let them know how we feel.

There is a website that has grouped together to pass on the tradition of shooting straight, and they may be coming to your state on a weekend soon, you can find their information and schedule at http://www.rwva.org/ They also emphasize contacting your representatives about your opinions on gun control, and their forum has much information on this matter. I recommend checking them out, they are a really nice group of people IMHO.

Bloomberg already has a foothold in the media. Bloomberg radio. Bloomberg TV. He'll take all that too.

I think they would most likely start with the ammunition; with a ban on its
sale or manufacture, which would also cover handloading compontents. It
would have a crippling effect, as most persons don't have a stockpile of
ammo of any one caliber. All of your NATO surplus ammo would simply dry
up; and be available to only authorized military and police units.

Next, they would begin with a hell 'eva tax on firearms; maybe as much as
1,000 per cent, making firearms unaffordable for most working class citizens.
Even then, I believe we are in for an updated 4473 form that will require
more scrunity; and probably at least a 10 day waiting period, before gun
sales are transferable.

I'm not afraid of my guns being taken away.

By the time that happens I'll be dead and have no need for them anymore.

We owe a duty to posterity to at least try and prevent future generations from having to live as subjects (slaves) instead of as citizens. We may all be dead by the time Big Brother gets around to his agenda or we may not. Either way I would like to see my kids and theirs not live in fear. Fear of crime and fear of their government.

I think any reasonable judge would rule that "shall not be infirnged" does not only mean simply banning guns infringes the right, but making what should be an affordable-to-most weapon out of the price range of 99.9% of America also infringes the right.

I also don't see the point of waiting periods. A "cooling off period" operates under the pretense, by definition, that you are not of sound mind or judgement everytime you purchase a weapon, and that there is a malicious intent everrytime you set foot in a gunstore. I feel the presumption of innocence is in this case violated and a sound argument against this in front of a sane and traditionalist judge would stand up.

Just a side note: "lawfulness" is something declared by a government. So the government is always "lawful" because, well, it says it is--and it should know, since it's the lawful government...

The government of the Third Reich was completely lawful. Hitler was democratically elected, and the enabling acts were lawfully passed through the Reichstag...

As has been so eloquently pointed out what is or is not lawful is dependent upon which side of the equation you are. Our founding fathers were considered criminals and traitors worthy of a noose by the existing government in 1776. We look upon them with respect because they prevailed. If not we would be driving on the wrong side of the road, drinking tea and reading history books about that dirty little revolution that cost
Franklin, Jefferson et al their heads.

Our goal is to win. By peaceful means if at all possible but by any means if necessary. Big Brother will not think twice about sacrificing a few thousand patriots in pursuit of continued power. To refuse to accept violence as a possibility is to award victory to those who will use it if it suits their purposes.
As Americans who know what the Constitution says, who knows what the true intent of those who wrote it was we must be willing if necessary to
refresh the life of the tree of liberty with blood. And we must make certain that those who would trample our freedoms know that we are willing to use their blood if necessary to do so. If they do not believe we will fight then the fight is lost before it can even begin. If you are unwilling to contemplate
the unthinkable you have granted the field to those that will.

Ha!

Chris Matthews just said something to the effect of:

"The people who care about guns vote that issue every day of thier lives, they will never loose"

sounds like Democrats will not touch "gun control" in 08 . . . or at least so they say.

:D

One the one hand, as I posted earlier, they care more about themselves than the country, whether they really believe their policies will actaully make the country "better" (in their eyes) or not. If they win the presidency, have a solid majority in the house and a several seat advantage in the senate, they may try it, then again they may not. They might talk a good game, and Dems that are very secure in their seat will continue to spout on about how evil barrel shrouds are because they know they can, but I don't think they will ever forget 1994. We know more gun laws won't prevent the next mass shooting, and they may or may not know, but to them their power is worth more than a few dozen lives. And that is based on the pretense they actually believe the crap they spew all day long.

I sure would love to see by 2008 or 2010 a solid CONSERVATIVE President and majority on both houses of congress. I bet this country would never look back.

As far as I know Bloomberg thankfully has no political ambitions beyond his current job. If that was to change and he somehow managed to become President, the last thing I would be doing is burying my guns. I'm pretty sure at that point the real fight for liberty would be on.

The 'net can be shut down just as quickly as GPS... Ditto for phone repeaters. I imagine if an operation was to take place, say, in a section of a large city or, better yet, in a rural community most wouldn't know about it because no major media outlet would cover it. Small newspapers are considered verboten by MOST as being "too conspiratorial", "alarmist", "racist" or "anti-Semitic" or fill-in-the-blank. And even if they are does it discount anything and everything to be found in their pages? The answer lies within each - and as we all know very few will read much anyway. Don't underestimate the truly wonderful technology over our heads or, in many cases, under our feet...

ATW525, What definitive knowledge do you have of Bloomberg's political ambitions?? As mayor of NYC ..what is he doing entrapping gun stores in Virginia by having private citizens commit the crime of a straw buy for which they are not punished..AFAIK? Is he now a one-man BATF? And then threatening the store with expensive lawsuits that would ruin their livelihood unless they agree to settle by being under command of a lawyer for an anti-gun organization. Whether or not he runs for president..and being the egomaniac he is I'd be shocked if he doesn't have it in his plans (admittedly speculation on my part)....doesn't anyone find this just a bit frightening of a precedent that others may want to follow??

Eh? I have no idea how quickly GPS can be shut down...but AFAIK it'd be impossible to "shut down" the internet..quickly or not. Unless you are talking about a major elimination of the power or telecommunications infrastructure...or something like that.
