From Texas, I see Sheila Jackson Lee, Al Green, and Lloyd Doggett on there. That tells me all I need to know.
So according to the link below the last action taken on this was in 04/13 and it seemed to fizzle out there. Has there been recent activity?

The 2nd "protection" act name is something straight out of 1984 double-speak.
Not speaking for the rest of the country, but I'm starting to doubt that as well. I do of course realize that NJ is a bit of a special case. However, this just past election not one of the seats being contended by gun grabbers here in NJ was lost. Meaning that the gun grabbers that were up for re-election ALL WON. None of them lost. All the bally-hoo and belly aching was for naught. It sucks but for the politicians, most of them won't be worried when it comes time to do this again. Now sort them by political party, and the obvious should become clear...
Never-the-less, all of them will be up for re-election in 2014, and if you live in a district which any of them represent, drop them a letter and tell them that you will remember their endorsement of this bill when you vote for someone else next year.
A heavy mailbag can carry a lot of weight.
I'm thinking this is old and was maybe just noticed recently by the OP.That was my question, too. Not sure why it was posted now.

Part of the method to their madness is that they really don't care about Universal Background Checks (UBC).
Next will be the liability insurance for gun owners. Luckily for us so far the insurance companies have been on our side fighting it because they're trying to avoid paying for more of people's negligence/intended harm.If UBCs go nowhere, you can bet that in 1 or 3 or 5 years, there will be a new measure for control freaks to get behind, and they'll be again saying that's "all they've ever wanted".
Only *some* such transfers. Critically, it does *not* seem to allow transfers between domestic partners or significant others unless you are married, which is ridiculous.Exemptions: The bill would exempt transfers of firearms between friends and family from background check requirements.
Seems to me you found a reason to kill the bill at least in court.Only *some* such transfers. Critically, it does *not* seem to allow transfers between domestic partners or significant others unless you are married, which is ridiculous.
Yarmuth has never seen a gun control bill he didn't like, he would gladly sigh a compete total ban without giving it a 2nd thought. My skin crawls every time I hear his voice patting himself on the back. One Kentucky Rep. signed onto this and he serves most of Louisville.
