Gun owner gang signs.

Let me start off by saying I heard this from a friend of a friend. I dont know if the story is true but its funny as ????, so I will pass it on.

This guy was walking down a street of a large city minding his own buissness. Across the way a few gentlmen of less promising background were walking on the other side throwing gang signs at the guy. While signs were being thrown they were speaking a language the guy didnt know, and seemed to be insulting him. Not wanting to be out done he figured he would throw out his own sign. He made his hand into a fist and exstended two fingers and taped his chest. Next he pointed with his index finger between his eyes and kept walking. A few of the gentlmen looked confused but aparently one of them got it and told the others to keep moving.

Even if this isnt true I think its funny and I may start using that as my new "gun culture" gang sign.

Although not very terrifing but way easier to understand I suggest this. If the individuals are a good distance go prone. Aim at them and act as if your useing a bolt action rifle. Stand up, brush off, and say something thought provoking, "someone is always watching"

I was actually thinking about borrowing some AV equip from the Journalism department and remaking the gang sign thing.

If the slugs you make this gesture at are realio-trulio gangstas, you may well have guaranteed that you will get shot. Some of them are very well acquainted with guns and violence and aren't likely to be overawed by you having one. Your little gesture might be just what is needed to turn this into a dominance issue.
A better response is to be aware of them and, if necessary, the first they need to know about your gun is when you shoot them with it.
As I said in another thread, you don't want to interact with out-of-control people because then they make their problems your problems.

I you got black out of that then you have lost your mind because at no time was the story told to me with ethnicity. Aparently you have seen to many trailer homes.

Gang members come in all shapes, sizes, AND colors. Nothing in his post specified a specific ethnicity and it is telling that you immediately jumped to the conclusion that they were black.
