Gun owner stops stabbing spree

Nice work on the part of a decent citizen, which probably ended a bloodbath before things could really get ugly. I'm sure that most people will never even hear about this story, since there isn't a significant body count to paint across the headlines on the evening news.

But, it is further proof that good conquers evil, and that guns are not the source of violence.

On the other hand, maybe it's time to propose an Assault Steak Knife Ban? Americans can no longer accept this violence! We must fight back, and demand background checks for all knife purchases, and an outright ban on any knife that can be considered "sharp". Also, if a knife has more than two of the following features, it should be forever banned:

1) a blade
2) a black handle
3) serrations
4) a scary look
5) a pointy point.

On reading this a second time I still didn't think the story really had a headline that was favorable to gun owners. But, the article told the story in a fairly favorable light.
