Somebody who is good with photoshopping things needs to show the S&W 500 shooting stance, one where a person has to lean back at a greatly over exagerated rearward angle inorder to compensate for holding that massive chunk of steel outstretched in their arms.

Yeah, that thing is huge. Found a shop here in town that has sold two of the things. Funny enough, this shop owner is one of the ones who swore up and down that he wouldn't carry/sell ANYTHING from S&W ever again unless they backed out of that agreement.

Yeah it's nice but..

Where do you hang the Tac-Light?

When will Rosen introduce a IWB holster for it?

How long before Galco makes a shoulder holster for it.

Will S&W make a single action version for Cowboy Action Shooting?
If so will Black Hills make a black powder load?

Will CCI-Speer make a shotshell load for it?

Will S&W make it in a 22rimfire titanium model so anyone poorer than Bill Gates can afford to practice with it.

Does it come in either a blued steel or a realtree camo finish?

:neener:

Speaking of big revolvers, I got a chance to shoot a 45/70 BFR recently and to be honest I was surpised at how tame it was. It was not as bad as some of the .44 maggies I have shot.

Nice revo, pretty model.

Huge honkin' gun is a term that comes to mind....

Oh, yeah, is the lady in the red dress a "double-righty"? ? ? ?

I actually like the looks of the .500 S&W there. I see it has the sling attachment on the barrel like the other Hunter models. I think it's interesting they didn't go with a non-fluted cylinder, cause you know you need that fluting to save weight ;)

Crew served revolver... shooter holds it, another guy loads it and after he shuts the cylinder and get clear, he taps your head and ducks for cover.

Okay, clock it, time of phrase coined...

Phrase, "Crew served revolver" LMAO! "Crew served AR15" is how I refer to my accurized varmint gun that weighs 15 pounds unloaded and is 48 inches in length, you see me carrying it around in the field as if it's an M60 with buttstock into my hip and barrel held high.

Here we gots our CSR, crew served revolver, that's rich.

On a more serious note. (Me, serious? Now there's an oxymoron) :D

Since so many companies are making sabot bullets for .50 cal muzzleloaders...:scrutiny:

What could you do with those in that gun? :what:

About six weeks ago I was in my favorite gun store and noticed they had a Smith&Wesson 500. Naturally I had to handle it. What a BMF! Should be mounted on a MG tripod.

I keep thinkin ... being the lover of ''cannons'' that I am ......

''I WANT ONE'' ....... trouble is .... I ain't gonna get one in the bottom of the Cheerios box!:p

Think just maybe I will have to ''look into this'' ..

''Yeah honey - this is essential research - and I may have to ''test'' one''!!:D
