Gun racks that mount under a truck seat

I have a chevy silverado with an extended cab. the seat in the back is a bench seat that lifts up. I was wondering if anybody knows of rack that i could use to hold the rifle under the bench seat and out of sight. it would be used to hold a rifle comparable in size to a ruger 10/22 or maybe a marlin 336. has anybody tried this? if so, did it work and what did you use?

I know Bass Pro & I think Cabela's sell a rack for mounting overhead in truck cabs. Might also work for under the seat. I'm thinking of trying to mount one inside my trunk somewhere, since I'm condemned to drive a car for the forseeable future. 100-120 miles/day, $2+/gallon gas and an x-cab V8 don't mix well.

i was going to buy 1 before for my silverado, but ended making 1 out of plywood.

if you do get onem you can add a padlock to the hinge on the seat... i think there is a hole already there where the 2 hinge halfs meet together. with that lock, the seat will not lift up, therfore securing your cargo.

i know cabelas has them for under the rear seat. check their website in the automotive area.

I was looking at them in the "American Van" catalog... Now there is a buncha 2X2's and asheet of plywood in the garage waiting for a halfway warm day, and I'm gonna make one!

I have a Du-Ha in my silverado and love it. It also is a good place for flares, first aid kit, hitches etc...
