Has a member to this forum have you installed and used the above mentioned console vault. What is your opinion of the product be it good, bad or indifferent.

Can’t speak for the highlander version but my Tundra vault from them is very nice.
Still in the grand scheme of things only a screwdriver and hammer away from gaining access.

There is a video on Youtube about a guy with one in his Tacoma and the thieves just took a screw drive to it and was in quickly. The lock guts were inside the vault. As with any type of lock or locking case, they only keep an honest person honest.

That lock in the video is as cheap as they come. You could probably swap it out for something a little better like a Camlock T8.

There are other weaknesses in the design, but overall with a better lock it will keep most that are unprepared out.

Had something similar in my old Tundra. It worked fine. Most criminals will not take the time to mess with it unless they have lots of time in their hands. Most of the time they only grab what’s accessible.
