Went to a local 3 day gun show today and struck gold. There were a couple of "dealers" that had reloading components from a third to half of the regular prices. I got talking to one of the guys and he said they buy estates and they've been lucky recently to find box after box of components from the 60s thru 2016. Some of the estates were from people that passed away years ago and their relatives just wanted to get rid of the stuff so they could sell the house. If you're looking for components no longer on the shelf you might want to peruse gun shows, I've been lucky the past couple of years by mining the shows. BTW, picked up 41 and 44 caliber XTPs for $10.00 a box and primers for $12.50 a brick. The real find of the day were some long discontinued Speer 41 cal bullets for $10.00 a box.

Good find! I have made some real scores at the gun shows on reloading components and equipment. Actually its the only reason I even go to gun shows anymore since the gun prices at them here are usually so high!

Congrats
It's great you found a killer deal.

Last meant I went to one and picked up a brick of primers at a good price. Not as killer a deal as yours but the same as the best mail order that I've found. I also picked up some brass at a price that was just too good to pass up and an AR lower for $45 which is about lowest I've seen online. The good part on that was a $2 background vs $20 to $35 for the FFL transfer for the online lower.

I saw a few other deals but you're right, the majority of things were through a bunch of dealers with store prices.

My suggestion to anyone going to a show is go with a certain amount of cash and set a budget. Don't use plastics or you'll spend a lot in the excitement of all of the goodies. Know local prices as well as online ones, then look for things you need, things you want, and killer deals. Then make it a game to maximize the cash you have to spend. It's a fun game, you don't over spend and you can get deals on new toys!

Or in our cases supplies to go have more fun!

The real find of the day were some long discontinued Speer 41 cal bullets for $10.00 a box.

Those were probably the 210gr SWC HP with tne cup type jackets.

They weren't as good as widely reported and were shown to waste a lot of powder trying to get them to shoot up to expectations.

Luckily I saw you post and am willing to sacrifice my powder and primer supply in order to save yours. Just send them on over to me and I'll dispose of them in a proper manner.....

Seriously, great find. Those shot like a dream over AA 7 out of my Redhawk at around 1150-1200'ish fps.
